German tenor Jonas Kaufmann will open the season in Prague with a concert at the elegant Obecní dům. The gala concert on January 10 is one of the most highly anticipated events of 2011 for the city. He will perform with the Prague Symphony Orchestra under Jochen Rieder. In 2010 the singer and conductor gave concerts with the Tivoli Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Ticket information can be found here.
