Jill Grove Jumps Into Cantata Last Minute

Mezzo-soprano Jill Grove will step in as a last-minute replacement for guest soloist Catherine Keen for Saturday’s Bravo III concert by the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. News of the illness sent the MSO into a 48-hour scramble to find a mezzo-soprano who had sung Serge Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky recently enough to be able to revive it within days. A suitable replacement was found in Grove, of Los Angeles, who has sung with the San Francisco Opera and the Houston Grand Opera and is altering her travel schedule to fit in Jackson.  [Source]
