Ruxandra Donose Wants to Sing Romanian Music

The mezzo-soprano discusses in an interview that she longs to sing more music in her native tongue. She discusses a recording she made of Nicolae Bretan songs set to the poetry of Eminescu, Coşbuc and Blaga. It was this folk music that made her realize how important it is for a singer to speak a language
that they are trying to communicate on stage in order to make a connection to the audience. She hopes to plan concerts of Romanian music in the future.
