Baritone Eugene Chan Climbing The Ranks

"Last year Chan placed second at the 11th annual Premio Spiros International Competition in Sarzana, Italy. Chan is currently a resident singer with Theater Basel in Switzerland. Next month he returns to Northern California to sing as part of the San Francisco Opera's 29th Schwabacher Debut Recital series. Chan will perform works by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Medtner, as well as a collection of American songs. The Schwabacher nod is no small matter.
